History

Dan Eadie, president of Residential Glass & Mirror, LLC had previously worked as a shop foreman at two local glass shops when he realized he could establish his own company that could supply the glass and screen needs of the area and offer the quality customer service he saw lacking with his previous employers.

So, on April 15, 2003, Dan opened the doors to Residential Glass & Mirror, LLC at 2874 Glen Rock Road with $.50 in his pocket.  The fates were on his side that day, when someone came in and spent $16.00.  He did the Chicken Dance right there in his office, and then, beaming from ear to ear called his wife to give her the good news.  The excitement of any kind of paying job was just cool, until he realized that he could not live and support a family on only $16.00 a day.  He completed the job, took that $16.00 to Glen Rock Bank (now Community Banks) and opened up an account.

The work came in, slowly at first, but began picking up with time.  After a while, Dan was able to move to 11800 B North Main Street Ext. in Glen Rock.

At the time he opened Residential Glass & Mirror, Dan was working out of his wife’s Saturn which was, needless to say, a bit cramped.  A friend helped out by giving him an old station wagon, which was barely street legal.  His knowledge of glass and his dedication to quality work and customer service helped his customers overlook the fact that he was working out of a rust bucket.  He worked out of that station wagon for 2 years when he finally sold it to a junk yard for $60.00 and bought the truck you see driving around today.

In the summer of 2007 Dan opened his new location and showroom at
2 West Main Street in New Freedom, right next to the Rail Trail. The greeting he received from the town of New Freedom made Dan feel very at home. Receiving cookies and an invatation to a home cooked meal, what more could any one ask. Residential Glass & Mirror has grown every year and in the hard economies that have hit the New Freedom area hard RG&M has still grown. Thank you to all of the people who have stopped in even just to say HI. With out the support of our customers we could not have made it this far ! ! ! !

Stop by and say hi to Dan The Glass Man!!!

With the help of a dedicated staff, Residential Glass & Mirror is one of the leading glass companies in the area, and is growing in leaps and bounds, providing service that is second to none!!
