The Lone Star Open 2011 Austin Texas
Luke headed down to Texas in Feb.2011 to compete
at the Lone Star Open. He did very well. This is the first year that Luke joined as a member of N.A.S.K.A.
(North American Sport Karate Association) This just means that his scores get added up at the end of the year to see
how he placed against other N.A.S.K.A members across the country. Luke placed 1) 2nd Musical Forms to the music of The
Who "Baba O'Riley" 2) 2nd Musical Weapons to the music of The Black
Eyed Peas "Boom Boom Pow" 3) 3rd Traditional Forms 4) 4th Traditional Weapons The tournament was very well run and Luke had a great time swimming in the pool while I hung out
in the Sauna and Hot Tub. Cindy Eadie helped sposor Luke along with Chief Boddington of the Southern Regonal Police Department.
Since the economy is really not doing well this year Luke is concentrating on raising as much money for next years tournaments.
He wants to go to all 15. This is at a cost on average of about $1,300.00 per tournament for him and a adult. Lukes next
tournament is in Philly the weekend of March 25 & 26
